From Regina, Saskatchewan, Alex started dancing at Applause Dance Academy. At age 16 he was invited to train at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. He continued his studies with some of Canada’s best instructors at the Canadian College of Performing Arts. He then was invited to train in the Post Graduate Program at the School of Alberta Ballet, where he performed lead roles in the ballets Les Sylphides and La Sylphide. During this time, he was also invited to perform with the Victoria International Ballet Company in Toronto, Ontario, to dance in its production of The Nutcracker and was invited to tour throughout Alberta with Alberta Ballet 2. Alex continued his studies at L’École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec and was then accepted to dance with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in its production of The Nutcracker. Following his formal training, he danced the lead role of Prince Charming with Ballet Classique in Quebec. Alex is very excited to start his first season with Minnesota Ballet!
