    Description

The Ballet leaps into its 2017–18 season with a Director’s Choice evening
of exciting works displaying the dancers’ versatility and Robert’s artistic
vision for the company. In Salvatore Aiello’s charming work, Clowns and
    Others
, they dance, romp, and mime their way through a range of human
emotions and experiences, whether squabbling over an oversized lollipop
or balancing on a ribbon tightrope, all to live piano accompaniment of the
Prokofiev Piano Miniatures. Plus, George Balanchine’s fiery Tarantella, Aiello’s
starkly contemporary “The Waiting Room,” and a new work by emerging
choreographer Isaac Sharratt of the Milwaukee Ballet. The performance also
features guest musicians Erin Aldridge and Alexander Sandor.
