Events We Have Enjoyed This Year

    Black and White Ball

    Friday, September 26, 2014
    7 – 11 p.m.
    Historic Grain Exchange
Board of Trade Bldg. 8th floor
    301 W. First St.

In our best black or white duds, we danced to the music of Peter Provost and Combo or enjoyed watching the dancing, saw a floor show, made our best guesses in the life-size Heads or Tails competition to win the Wall of Wine, went for a prize wearing a fancy hat in the Parade of Hats, nibbled on hors d’oeuvres from The Pickwick and on fancy cupcakes from How Sweet It Is, and sipped wine or vodka cocktails from George’s Liquor, and saw Minnesota Ballet dancers perform “Hey, Big Spender,” choreographed by Reinhard von Rabenau.

Lucky winning bids in the Live Auction carried off the likes of Dinner for Eight in Your Home by New Scenic Café, an Evening of Song by Tenor Marcus McConico and Soprano Rachel Inselman, a Swiss Army Watch ($750 value) from Security Jewelers, a Date for two lucky winners with Dancer Reinhard von Rabenau at Black Water Lounge (manicures & pedicures before at A Touch of Plasch), a Brunch Special with Bloody Mary basket and certificate for Zingerman’s special brunch items, two tickets to Cirque du Soleil in November, and a Spot in the 2015 Celebrity Dance Challenge.
