Celebrating Special Nutcracker Roles

The Nutcracker in 2017 celebrates the 25th anniversary of Robert Gardner’s portrayal of Uncle Drosselmeyer and Mother Ginger, classic roles he has filled for the Minnesota Ballet’s holiday production that have delighted thousands of Northlanders and audiences on tours in the Midwest and Canada.

FREE Public Presentation

The School of the Minnesota Ballet celebrates dance with a FREE special event for the public. Advanced students perform special works, upper-level students demonstrate dance technique, and the entire audience can join in social dances or watch the fun.

STUDENT PERFORMANCE

7 p.m.
DECC Symphony Hall

The annual performance showcases student progress over the year and features a special work by the two highest levels. Performing choreography by their teachers are students from pre-ballet, ballet, Young Men’s Athletic Dance, Creative Dance for children with developmental challenges, and the Teen/Adult Division.
