Lauren Shaul

Lauren began dancing at age three in a small studio in San Pedro, California under Cynthia Bradley. Later, at the age of nine, she began her serious training at South Bay Ballet in Torrance, California. She decided to further her training by working privately with Alicia Head. In addition, Lauren spent her summers participating in intensives with Kansas City Ballet, Houston Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Kaatsbaan, Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, Hubbard Street, and Milwaukee Ballet on artistic scholarship. In 2017, she joined the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago’s Trainee Program, where she performed in many ballets including Gerald Arpino’s Viva Vivaldi, Alexander Eckman’s Episode 31, and Karin Averty’s staging of Paquita. Lauren has been part of the choreographic process for many choreographers, including Joffrey’s Winning Works choreographer Xiang Xu and his piece Vessels Bearing, Alice Klock and Florian Lochner of Hubbard Street and their piece Overstory, and Isaac Sharrat’s I See Stars. This is her first season with Minnesota Ballet.
