Katelyn began her ballet training in Des Moines, Iowa under the direction of Melissa and Emery Uyehara (a former dancer with the Duluth Ballet). She then went on to train in Colorado Ballet’s Pre-Professional division on partial scholarship, where she performed various works including Swan Lake, Giselle, and pieces choreographed by Twyla Tharp. She also had the opportunity to perform in Colorado Ballet’s premiere of Wizard of Oz, choreographed by Septime Webre. Following her time there, she was accepted into Kansas City Ballet’s Daytime Program where she performed in The Nutcracker and Swan Lake with Kansas City Ballet, as well as various works with the school. During her time with Minnesota Ballet, she performed in the premiere of Sleepy Hollow. Katelyn also enjoyed recreating the role of the Crawfish in Billy’s Dancing Dairy Farm. In her limited spare time, she is majoring in Accounting at Arizona State University and enjoys relaxing at lakeside beaches in the area.
