Magali Johnston-Viens began their training at 11 when she was accepted to the Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington DC. Magali studied there through their high school years with the exception of one semester where they studied at the American Academy of Dance of Paris in Paris, France. After graduation Magali danced with the Goh Ballet Youth Company in Vancouver, BC and with Pittsburgh Ballet Theater’s graduate program. Magali then went on to join Ballet Palm Beach as a dancer with the company under the directorship of Colleen Smith. She has also studied at many summer programs such as, Paris Opera Ballet summer intensive, and the Royal Danish Ballet summer intensive where they were awarded the Briger Bartholin scholarship award. Magali has had the opportunity to choreograph original works on MB artists for Dances on the Lakewalk as well as for the Duluth/Superior Pride Festival. This is Magali‘s second season with the company.
