Sophie grew up in Madison, Wisconsin. She began her ballet training with the School of Madison Ballet and Central Midwest Ballet Academy, under the direction of Marguerite Luksik. In 2017, she moved to Carlisle, Pennsylvania to study at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. She trained there for several years under the leadership of Marcia Dale Weary and Darla Hoover. She then joined Milwaukee Ballet’s newly formed Pre-Professional Training Division where she studied with Rolando Yanes. Additionally, she attended summer programs at the Jillana School, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and the Washington Ballet. Sophie has enjoyed performing in the Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Sleepy Hollow with Minnesota Ballet, as well as at other events around Duluth, such as Dances on the Lakewalk and Pride Festival. This is her second season with Minnesota Ballet.
