Rebecca Ford is originally from Vermillion, South Dakota where she began her training at Vermillion Area Dance Organization under the direction of her mother, a former soloist with Kansas City Ballet. She spent summers training with various ballet companies across the nation including the American Ballet Theatre. In 2017 she joined Colorado Ballet’s Pre-professional Division on scholarship where she had the chance to perform in Colorado Ballet Productions as well as feature in roles such as Moyna in the academy’s production of Giselle, Little Swan in Swan Lake, and Monkey Girl in Graduation Ball. She was a selected student choreographer for a Colorado Ballet Pre-professional black box show and had the incredible opportunity of performing in Slow Flight with Lemon Sponge Cake Ballet. In 2020 she became South Dakota Ballet’s featured upcoming artist in their inaugural summer season. She also spent the summer of 2020 performing and choreographing for parking lot shows in South Dakota with Headlights Theatre.
